After years go by, Pauline Diaz's family held another birthday vigil in memory of her. As the crowd shrinks and the public interest fades, we made sure we would be there to support the family's gathering. A number of news outlets participated, which the family greatly appreciates. Because they read our shared postings about the vigil, a surprise guest stopped by not only to provide a memorial pillow but also to sing a heartfelt happy birthday.   In that regard, the ceremony was extremely meaningful for everyone who attended, and even hundreds of birds paid their respects with their flyovers.
